How it works
Bikram Sambat is Nepal's official calendar. Its months run from 29 to 32 days, and their lengths change from year to year, so no formula converts the dates on its own. This converter uses a table of every month's length in every year, from 1 Baisakh 2000 (14 April 1943) to the end of 2090 BS (13 April 2034).
The table comes from the open source nepali-datetime library. We checked it against published calendars for 2083 BS: the year's first and last days, 1 Kartik, and its longest and shortest months. All 52 Saturdays in the government's 2083 holiday notice, and the weekday it prints for each holiday, match it too. For official business, check the government calendar.
